4 Sisters by the River

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here on January 29th, 2016. And. It. Was. Amazing.

Let me explain what 4 Sisters is. As far as I know, they're the only tapas restaurant in La Crosse. Tapas is a different way to eat — small dishes, typically four of the same item on a plate. The idea is to share. Try a little of everything. Kristin and I often order three things off the tapas menu and split them. It's a social, fun way to spend time with friends and family. When you pair that with amazing drinks and an inviting atmosphere, it can't be beat.

Our rehearsal dinner told the full story of what makes this place special.

Working with the team at 4 Sisters was one of the most pleasant, straightforward experiences we had in all of our wedding planning. They worked with us upfront to create a custom menu for the evening that fit our budget. They even brought back Kristin's favorite dessert — Rum Chada parfaits — specifically for that night.

Brian helped us the evening of the event, and I have never experienced that level of care and professionalism. Due to an error on our part, we miscounted the number of gluten-free meals needed and misjudged some guests' allergies. On the spot, Brian corrected the food at no additional cost. The drinks were excellent, as I've come to expect. Despite the restaurant being crowded, the bartenders were on top of every order.

Here's the highlight of the night. Our ring bearer was three years old. The little guy had a long day and passed out the moment he walked into 4 Sisters. Brian went out of his way to find pillows and blankets to make the boy a proper bed. It blew his parents out of the water.

4 Sisters has been a favorite of Kristin's and mine for a long time, and that evening cemented it.

Here's what this post is really about: customer service is king. When you feel that a business is genuinely taking care of you, so many frustrations disappear. The world seems sunnier, and every good thing that happens feels like it was meant to be. 4 Sisters earned our loyalty because of the feelings they conjure up every single time we visit.
