Tops or Bottoms?
Tops or Bottoms?
My partner and I were chatting the other night on our porch. This will be our first summer with a new porch, and we've been enjoying the warmer weather. But we're in that awkward time of year where you need layers. It can be hot during the day, and cool/cold at night. Eventually we became cold and moved inside. Upon warming up, Alicia commented that her legs always get cold first. In contrast, my arms get colder first. So, I prefer to have shorts and hoodie, and she preferes leggings and a tank top.
This was a fun little discussion. As I've thought on it, I realized that I shift between managing my temperature based off the season. And for whatever reason, I needed to define it for myself.
| Season | Bottoms | Tops |
|---|---|---|
| Winter/Spring | Pants | t-shirt |
| Summer/Fall | Shorts | t-shirt |
So, when the default temperature is colder, I like having my legs warmer. When it's warm, they can be cooler. I use a flannel or hoodie to help regulate my temperature, but when it's warmer out, my legs require ventilation. Fun little observation.
Thanks for listening to my rambling. It's been a silly week.
